The Good:
* Sydnee Steele, Devinn Lane, Inari Vachs, Asia Carrera, Bridgette Kerkove,
Ava Vincent, Felecia, Jezebelle Bond, Nikita Denise, Shay Sweet, Charlene
Aspen, Tanya Danielle, and April. Damn! That's a lot of twat!
* Plenty of skanky girlies (see above) in boots and high-heels. Rubber
thigh boots, lace-up leather knee boots, space-clubbin' shiny boots!
Stiletto heels, platform high heels, see-through high heels! Woooo-hoooo!
* Rough Assssssex. Dicks, big stiff dildos, almost an entire hand.
*A brief but perfectly delightful rubbermaid speculum scene. In fact, lots
of great rubber and latex outfits about mid-way through the flick. Can't
beat that shit.
* Semi-cool sets. A big white mansion, a deserted desert farmhouse, a goofy
Jetsons-esque nightclub.
The Bad:
* The music occasionally sucks. More driving techno/electronica would've
fit the futuristic visuals better than the butt-rock guitar meets industrial
sampling crap that sounds washed-out and lame.
* The awful sci-fi plot. Don't expect anything close to William Gibson,
Mad Max or The Matrix, even though Euphoria pulls from all these sources.
Expect to ask, "What the fuck is going on?" within minutes. Far too many
miserable "story" scenes to skim over.
* Some sex scenes felt awkwardly paced. Hard to explain, but the rhythms
weren't there and the scenes either went on too long or expired in weak
comeshots before I was ready.
The Ugly:
* I really dug the honeys in face paint. I could even suffer through the
woman with the shaved head. But I just can't get off when the guy's all
done up like a cyborg with a messy looking graft over one eye a la City of
Lost Children or Hellraiser 3. Trekkies will be pleased though.
* It looks like one of the main female stars has a slightly lazy eye. This
is petty, but get that shit fixed!
And The Final Word:
* A 3.5. But all those boots and heels bump it to a 4.
Rancho Reprise
Usually I'm not into the DVD extras. Sure multiple angles are cool, and the Wicked Casino feature is a good 2-3 hour time-sink, but other than chapters, I really don't care what else is special about the disc. It seems like cheating to me.
But this 2-disc set deserves some props for having more features and extras than you'll ever be able to watch. And they're pretty good too! like the bloopers reel, or the extended/deleted scenes discs. It's just fun.
The extras don't bump this disc to a 5-star fuck flick for me, but they might for you. It's truly impressive.
