I'm not as big a fan of these virtual sex stimulators/simulators as Clyde, who was instantly converted by Digital Sin's My Plaything Gauge (a VERY hard act for any DVD of this genre to follow). For one thing, it's not very "virtual." It's still your dumb old TV set and some girl on there pretending to be pleasured. Same old story. In the end, these virtual sex DVDs are about as interactive as phone sex: YOU have to push the buttons and YOU ultimately have to do all the work yourself.
Virtual Sex with Tera Patrick is one from Digital Playground's interactive, virtual sex series. As you watch the disc, you can select on-screen options to direct the action. Remember those great Choose Your Own Adventure books? Well, this is a little like that except with sopping pussies instead of golden doors and dragons. From the main menu, you've got four options: Strip, stories, foreplay and sex. The stories don't amount to much, just Tera tossing her hair around while her voice tells about her first time and about a liberating night with 5 firemen, the fire station dalmatian, and a cast of thousands. Strip is only a little more exciting as Tera undrapes herself from a tiger-print dress.
The bulk of the material lies in the foreplay and sex areas. And wow, if you want to you can go ahead and skip the foreplay just like you always want to in real life! You get two choices in the foreplay section though: Poking dildo or stabbing fingers. There's not much variation, just pummeling, but you can choose from 2 true multiple angles at least. On all of the foreplay and sex scenes, you also get to choose between "Innocent" and "Nasty." Unfortunately Tera's pretty much the same under both settings - she too easily falls into porno mode no matter what she's doing (Check out Gauge's naughty and nice modes in My Plaything Gauge to see how this idea pulled off well).
The sex is broken in 4 positions: missionary, doggie, cowgirl and reverse cowgirl. The view's not really that spectacular and in each one Tera takes a fucking from from a hairy-stomached man. Maybe it's the black background. Maybe Tera's just not toned enough, I don't know, but the gynecological viewpoint didn't help my condition much and the second angles were usually kind of goofy - just of her torso and face, for example. In fact, in the cowgirl position, you can't even seen Tera's twat unless you switch to camera 2 and even there it's a bit obscured. When you get sick of these loops (and they're not super long) you can click the Orgasm icon to watch the hairy stomached man's penis vomit hideous amounts of jizz all over our star. I kept thinking, that's not MY dick! That's not MY dick! You see, the virtual part only goes so far.
Other complaints include lack of anal sex (unless I totally got lost in the menus and missed it) and no variety in the sex toys of the foreplay section. And my DVD player crashed several times while churning through this disc, particularly while messing with the fast-forward. I watched it on my computer, so maybe that's not a very stable way to do it, I don't know. Overall, I'd say this one might be worth a rental if you haven't tried one of these virtual sex thingies yet, but I wouldn't shell out any money to purchase Virtual Sex with Tera Patrick.
